30 Dallas-Fort Worth roofers, ranked on BBB grade where we could read one, Google reviews, years under the same name where established, manufacturer certifications and confirmed service area. Gaps are marked not verified, and complaint counts are not yet available.
The table is the short version. Each company is written up underneath it, with the source behind every number, so you can check the placement yourself. On a phone the table scrolls sideways. Revised 9 October 2026.

A red means we have not finished confirming that figure and will not present it as verified. It is never left blank, because a blank hides exactly the fact you should question.
Figures pulled from Google Maps and each company’s own site. Checked 9 October 2026.
5 inputs decide every position, applied in a fixed order, and all of them are printed here. For Dallas-Fort Worth the first input, BBB rating and accreditation, is partial: 22 of the 30 companies have a grade we read from a bbb.org search-result card, and complaint counts are not available for any, because bbb.org profile pages sit behind a challenge our tools do not pass. The 8 companies with no listing we could match fall into the unrated band, which means unmatched, not poorly rated. Within a band the Google review score decides (smoothed so a few reviews cannot beat many), then review count and years trading.
We do not accept payment for placement and no company can buy a higher position. 22 companies have a BBB profile we could link, and 22 of those show accreditation; a few of those flags rest on weaker markup in the search card and are marked for a second look. 2 companies have a manufacturer certification we could confirm on a locator page we could read (Davis Roofing Solutions and Veritas Roofing, both Malarkey listings). The GAF, Owens Corning, CertainTeed and Atlas locators did not load for our tools, so a company without a certification here is not a company without one.
The Google record is the strongest data we hold: 15,386 reviews across the 30 companies, pulled 9 October 2026. Years trading is established for 20 of 30, from founding dates on each company's own site, and a company without one is not penalized for it. Texas has no state roofing license, so we add what voluntary and public records exist,8 RCAT directory listings and 7 Texas business filings, to each profile as information only. They never move a ranking.
Read the full methodologyThe same facts as the table, one company at a time, each with its source and that company's own phone number. Where we could not establish a fact, the entry says not verified.

Hail, mostly. NOAA logged hail reports somewhere in the nine counties on an average of 17.6 separate days a year from 2010 to 2025, from 10 days in 2018 to 27 in 2023. The largest stone on record measured 5.9 inches. Read the county tables on the hail history page.
The two big cities also permit differently. Dallas requires a permit for a roofing job over $500 in materials and labor. Fort Worth requires none for a shingle-only re-roof of a one or two-family home unless decking is replaced. Dallas's open permit file ends in 28, 2020, with 6,252 re-roof permits in 2019, its last full year; Fort Worth received 384 re-roof applications in 2025. The permit index and the permit guide carry the detail.
Not sure a company is what it says? How to check a Dallas-Fort Worth roofer lists the seven records to open, and roofers near me groups the roster by city.
Want to talk to a specific ranked company instead? Every listed company’s own phone number is on their profile.
Every figure above is taken from a public source and linked at the point it is used. Where a source is still being confirmed the figure carries a red flag rather than a blank. Hail data is NOAA's Storm Events Database; permit rules are quoted from the City of Dallas and City of Fort Worth pages listed on the permit guide; the voluntary license statement is RCAT's own. Corrections go to our contact page, and a listed company can claim or correct its own profile.
